Dave and Carolyn Owen opened Oui Travel in Wheaton in 1988. They have now moved to Batavia. As a family business, there is a sense of pride in all that we do. We all enjoy working with people and love to hear of their experiences and tales of travel.
Dave takes an active role and can be found in the office on most days. His specialities are small group tours and sightseeing in Europe. He has been to every Western European country at least once and many of the Eastern European countries. One of the trips arranged by Dave of which he is truly proud was a time he sent a brother and sister and their spouses to visit the home of their grandmother in a little village in the Czeck Republic (known then as Czechoslovakia.) Not only did they discover the house, but found that a relative of theirs still owned the land and was doing his little farming and poultry raising. They had quite a wonderful reunion and caught up on long lost family history. Dave and Carolyn escort small interest groups to special destinations. An African safari, South America, touring parts of Asia and cruising the Eastern and Western Caribbean can be added to the list of journeys.
Cathy brings experience from Disney, cruising, Hawaii and local sightseeing to the mix. The pictures seen on her desk include many snapshots of her two beautiful daughters who love to go and see the world.
Cindy has traveled France, London, Eastern Canada, Italy, Greece, the Caribbean, as well as Hawaii and the continental United States. She loves cruising and has been on a variety of ships and has visited many ports. She has been fortunate enough to take her son, currently serving in the U.S. Army, to several foreign destinations.
Mary's travels include Hawaii, Italy, Great Britain, throughout the Caribbean and Europe. She, too, loves to cruise and has several under her belt.
Laura can be seen chasing in and out of the office. Her main responsibility is to keep the accounting up to date. Her travel includes Scandinavia, Europe, Alaska and Hawaii. If you have a couple of hours to spend in chatter, ask her about her two boys! They are her pride and joy!!!!!! They, too, have traveled extensively for ones as young as they. |
